<br>Cleansing Different Skin Types
Not all skin was created equally. In fact there are several different skin types & each have there own unique issues that need to be addressed individually. Even to the simplest detail of finding the right cleanser for your skin type. There are products specially created for each different skin type and the first step of finding the right products is finding what type of skin you have: Normal, Dry, Oily or Combination.

Normal Skin

Characterized by having a soft, smooth texture, even tone & no visible greasy or dry areas. Normal skin is supple & has a healthy glow, although there may be occasional breakouts, acne is not a problem for this skin type. This requires cleansing twice a day with a mild gel cleanser & warm water. A toner will keep pores tight & help remove any remaining cleanser or makeup.

Dry Skin

Has a dull look caused by its inability to retain moisture. Skin usually feels tight & uncomfortable until moisturizer is applied & is especially prone to fine lines, flaking & cracking. Cleanse dry skin with a cream cleansers that deep cleans without stripping the skin of its natural oils & moisture. A cleanser with an exfoliant that gently removes flaky skin is especially helpful, but only recommended two to three times per week.

Oily Skin

Is shiny, has a thick, dull texture, pimples & blackheads. Overactive oil producing glands produce more oil than is needed causing a greasy shine, enlarged pores & an uneven appearance. Oily skin requires a cleanser that both removes excess oil & maintains a necessary level of moisture on & under the skin's surface. A lathering cream or gel cleanser works best on oily skin because it penetrates for deep cleaning. Be sure your cleanser will not clog already enlarged pores & is oil-free.

Combination Skin

Can be both dry & oily. Usually an oily T-Zone consisting of the nose, forehead & chin as well as dry areas around the cheeks, mouth & eyes. Combination skin is the most common skin type & requires a cleanser that works for both dry & oily skin. To find the right cleanser you have to determine if your skin is more prone to be oily or dry, & choose a combination cleanser designed for combination-to-oily skin or combination-to-dry skin.
