Hidden Contaminants Not Listed In Baby Bath Products

<br>Hidden Contaminants Not Listed In Baby Bath Products
Hair & skin products can be made without hazardous ingredients & contaminants. Some manufacturers are producing children’s skincare products that contain toxic chemicals used in fumigants, automotive coolant & embalming fluid. Even the most ingredient-conscious parent wouldn’t know if a product was safe as these chemicals are not listed on labels.

Independent lab studies testing baby products for the chemicals, 1,4-dioxane & formaldehyde, found that both chemicals are contaminants that do not necessarily appear on product labels as they may be formed by the interaction of other chemicals. Both are carcinogenic. Formaldehyde is also known to trigger rashes in those with sensitive skin. In studies done on 76 products for children, 67% tested positive for 1,4-dioxane, 82% were positive for formaldehyde & 17 of these tested products contained both.
