Trained in London, UK for three years as a Designer Hair Stylist with basic Trichology. In 1991 JoPaulo became a product educator for some of the top brands in the professional hair care industry. By the age of 22 he opened his first successful salon in Southern Africa, a decade later in California, USA. It was during this time after the birth of his son that his passion & knowledge in the products he was trained in became questionable.
JoPaulo's son suffered from rashes brought on by the use of most professional & commercial baby products. A need for the right products became crucial & research for a healthier alternative began. JoPaulo turned his interest into the world of organic hair & skin care products. The discovery was shocking. Many still contained toxic & low cost preservatives, a major cause of skin allergies. Ingredients found in these products also gave the false effect of healthier hair & skin. Furthermore the ingredients of value were listed way below 50%, not enough of a health benefit. Tests into “preservative free” natural & organic products also raised some concern as some tested positive for mold & bacteria.

These products were sought-after for his son & his clients, some of which also suffered from similar skin problems.
