Understanding Conditioners

<br>Understanding Conditioners
The active ingredients in many commercial conditioners are known as cationic surfactants. When shampooing, hair is often left with very little natural oils. Conditioners are used to fix this problem. The cationic surfactants in these conditioners attach to damaged hair where keratin has been affected & a negative charge has been built up. This cationic surfactant fills the holes resulting in an improvement in the condition of the hair.

Most JoPaulo Naturals conditioners use Aloe Vera as a base instead of water for it's effectiveness in attracting & retaining moisture to the hair. Essential oils are added as they are the only oils capable of penetrating the cuticles, building strength of the hair & repairing it effectively. Protective oils such as Castor seed, Jojoba, Shea, Coconut, Rosehip, Avocado, Neem, Argan & Olive oils are added to seal in moisture. Many other key ingredients such as Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) & Tocopherol (vitamin E) are also used in fortifying the hair.
